Snowbowl Lift Ride

Since it is still sweltering here in the valley we headed back up toward Flagstaff to take the Snowbowl Ski Lift to the top and enjoy some cooler temps.

Now we have ridden many ski lifts but usually we're polling ourselves into place and riding up hanging onto our poles and with skis dangling from our nice, heavy boots and no idea what is under all the snow. This was a totally different experience.

The ride up was nice and slow so we could enjoy the scenery and once up at the top we had a great view of the valley, even the south rim of The Grand Canyon.

Riding down was fun as well, and no, you don't feel as if you are going to fall off the chair. This was a great way to spend a summer day.
